Flag (Triangular Fold), VIVE 43886, Part D, Letter

This folded American flag was presented to the widow of Dennis "Mike" Michael Phillips (KIA 05/31/1969) after his death in Vietnam. It was placed at the Wall in June of 2019, along with his Army Aviator wings (which are attached to the flag), his charred dog tags and wedding rings on a chain necklace, a wallet-sized black and white photograph of Captain Phillips from his Officer Candidate School graduation, and a letter written by his wife, Karen.
