Court St. Monday My dear Fanny, Enclosed is a request to Tom, which I trust you will enforce with your sisterly persuasion. I hope he will see the Orpheus., and be willing to write an article, it need not be long, for one of the papers. In this way he will help the exhibition very much, and do an act of kindness to an artist of remarkable genius. I grieve for dear Felton. He writes me today, that his wife is failing fast. What can we do for her? For him? Mary writes pleasant letters, and seems to enjoy the alleys green and the drives down to the river. I hope to see you this week; for I must steal some hours of vacation. Ever Thine, Charles Sumner
