15th Regiment, New Jersey Infantry
Erected to commemorate service of the 15th Reg. New Jersey Volunteer Infantry commanded by Col. Wm. H. Penrose. Troops were engaged for 2 hours at this line May 3,1863. Rededicated May 16, 1964 by NJ Gov. Richard Hughes. || Mn & marker. Mn: 30'H w/ square base having polished raised lettering & carved rifle relief, 10' polished column, & 3' crowning supporting 7' statue of soldier. Rough-cut dededication mrkr, 1'6"Hx1'8"Wx10", bears bronze plaque on polished face.
