Images were contracted by the NPS Office of the Chief Information as part of a larger project to add images of all Civil War monument to the NPS Civil War Soldiers and Sailors System

The 50'x 22'x 19' monument features 3 groups of bronze figures (soldiers and women in mourning) on lower tiers at both ends and in the center, 2 sculptured marble panels on raised tiers in the center, & a set of steps at the base.
