Mark Platts is President of Susquehanna National Heritage Area (SNHA), a non-profit organization and two-county State and National Heritage Area based at the Zimmerman Center for Heritage, on the Susquehanna River south of Wrightsville, Pennsylvania. SNHA also manages Columbia Crossing River Trails Center on Lancaster County’s riverfront in Columbia and operates River Discovery Tours on the Susquehanna with the Chief Uncas, an historic electric boat. Mark is a native of York with over 30 years of experience in urban planning, community design, landscape conservation, and heritage and outdoor tourism development. He has managed public and private sector planning programs in Washington, DC, Orlando, Florida, and Bainbridge Island, Washington.
