Images taken in summer at The Spicy Lamb Farm in Peninsula, Ohio. || The Spicy Lamb Farm is one of eight farms in Cuyahoga Valley National Park's Countryside Initiative. This program invites farmers to live and farm in the national park using sustainable methods that do not adversely affect resources. The aim of the Countryside Initiative is to preserve the Cuyahoga Valley's rural heritage (especially historic farm properties) and to demonstrate best practices in growing healthy, local farm products. Spicy Lamb Farm raises Dorset sheep as showstock and for all-natural wool and hide products. In the summer, they held a blessing ceremony for their flock and demonstrated herding techniques.
