A white cylinder shaped mushroom that is has a shaggy surface is in front of another shaggy mane mushroom that is now has the bell-shaped cap. The bottom of the cap is inky black in color.
Shaggy Mane mushroom (Coprinus comatus) is in the inky cap group of mushrooms. The young fruit bodies appear as white cylinders emerging from the ground, then the bell-shaped caps open out.
