Fire effects monitoring on Jim Lee Prescribed burn, Mammoth Cave National Park, 2004
Prescribed burns are conducted to reduce fuels, restore fire to the ecosystem and manage park lands. Plots are established before the fire and then the effects of fire are monitoried in the years following the burn.
