This is an historic black and white photograph from the Scotty's Castle Historic Photograph Collection, Death Valley National Park of encampment of fifty or more mostly tents and some wood shacks. Numerous vehicles, nearly one for every tent or shack. Tents and shacks scattered into the distance. Barren, fairly flat hillside rises into the distance. Double, rugged peak of mountain beyond.
