Images were contracted by the NPS Office of the Chief Information as part of a larger project to add images of all Civil War monument to the NPS Civil War Soldiers and Sailors System
West Inscription
U.S. National Park Service
7'6" x 5'6" x 11'6", the Barre, VT, granite monument has rough-hewn base supporting a smooth 2nd base & obelisk. A carved wreath surrounds "U.S" above crossed sabres, which are overlaid by a shield bearing the inscription.
