Camilo Acosta - San Juan Island National Historical Park
A young man wearing a red shirt and backpack looks down at his hands where a stick bug is crawling.
Hello! My name is Camilo Acosta- Garcia and I have been selected to be a Biology Assistant at San Juan National Historic Park in Friday Harbor, WA to assist in the conservation of the Island Marble Butterfly. I am a Biology major and neuroscience minor at the University of Washington Bothell. My career and educational goals lie in increasing my knowledge of the ecology of insects and finding effective ways of communicating their importance to the public. I don’t need people to love insects like I do, but at least to acknowledge their contributions to our society and planet. I enjoy hiking, gaming, and drawing animals.
