Students are participating in a unit called Journey to the River. They are exploring a watershed theme and doing water quality testing at the Cuyahoga River. The students are recording data in their Discovery Books. Park Ranger Pam Barnes leads the class. || The Cuyahoga Valley Environmental Education Center's residential program provides fourth through eighth grade classes an overnight educational experience that integrates science, nature study, environmental issues, and the arts. Students learn natural history and the concepts of watershed, biodiversity, and habitat. In addition, environmental issues and the process of environmental decision-making are explored. The curriculum is designed to meet state standards and teach proficiency skills, especially in science and social studies.
