Dear Mr. DeMoss:
On June 4, we advised you that the Commission’s choice for a site of the proposed Indiana Memorial had been approved. We also noted that the next step was for the Commission to submit for approval a plan together with texts of the proposed inscriptions.
Mr. James Codori, Codori Memorials, Gettysburg, has delivered the drawings and site plan. As soon as we receive the texts of the inscriptions we will make our submission to the Regional Director. We advised Mr. Codori also, that the stone walkway should be continued the 40’ plus or minus, to the parking slip adjacent to the roadway. When we questioned him about the hedge and shrubbery he indicated that they were only in the artist’s concept and should not be considered as included in the plan.
Sincerely yours,
George F. Emery
