E.G.Faile I will now trouble thee to buy for me one nice tierce full of Cod Fish and one bbl no 2 Mackerell thee will buy them of Dodge & Green or J. Schelding & Co as well as any where also for 2 horse waggon line } 10 Cwt if 1 ¾ In Wide ¾ or ½ In thick 1/4 3/8 In Thick Quantity for one horse Waggon { 5 Cwt of 1 ¼ In Wide 3/8 [In] 5 Bars of 1 In square Iron 5 [Bars] 1 ¼ [In Square Iron] } Swedes Iron 5 Cwt Rusia Old Sable Iron and Send them to the Care of Pattison & Hart Troy in the Troy & Erie Line of Sloops the same Line the sent my goods in when in Town. D. W. Townsend is buying some goods for me he will pay over the bales of money he has to thee which will probably be a little more than those articles will amount to which thee will credit me with by so doing thee will much oblige thy friend R.P. Hunt

“Waterloo 5mo 7th 1824 Respected Friend D.W. & E. Townsend I send you pr the bearer R. Townsend Esqr Two Hundred Dollars. I wish you to buy for me two Bales of Cotton Yarn assorted from 5 to 10 mostly Warp I could buy of W F & S Mott & 22cts when I was in N York the balance of money I wish you to give to E G Faile tell him to give me credit for it. Let your D W Townsend get the amount of two pieces damaged Linens which I paid Adee & Simpson for they were left in the Cellar and was to have been deducted from my bill but forgotten they were bot 4 mo 23 rd No 2 2 pieces 25 Yds @ 31 cts amted to $7.75/100 let E.G. Faile copy your bill in a letter to me. he will send the Yarn with some other goods to me by so doing you will very much oblige your friend
