Know ye, That James Suggs Corporal of Sargent [sic] Charles J. Kelley Company “H’ 59th Regiment of U.S. Col. Infantry Volunteers who was enrolled on the 19 day of November one thousand eight hundred and Sixty four to serve Three years or during the war is hereby discharged from the service of the United States this thirtieth day of July 1865 at Memphis Tennessee by reason of disability. Said Corporal James Suggs was born in Lincoln Co in the State of North Carolina is 29 years of age 5 feet 9 inches high Black complexion Black eyes Black hair and by occupation when enrolled a Blacksmith
