Superinten [sic] Gettysburg battlefield Gettysburg, PA Dear Sir: The Daughters of the Confederacy of Alabama have been accumulating fund for many years in order to erect a monument to Alabama solders on Gettysburg field. We feel that we are very near the goal - Kindly give me all information necessary as to the Steps to be taken to secure permission to erect a monument there, who selects the site – the material to be used in the monument and anything else that you think would be important for me to know.
