The Northern Cardinal is a bird familiar to many. In the spring both males and females have been known to attack their reflections in car mirrors and windows. The Northern Cardinal is the state bird of seven states: Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, North Carolina, Ohio, Virginia and West Virginia
