Chinese blue and white soup plates, each with spiral moulded edge and decorated with panels of flowers above a band of scrolls; the centers with flowers issuing from rockwork. These Chinese porcelain plates were not made for export. The marks are underglaze blue and signifies one of the Pa pao (the Eight Precious Things), part of a group of artistic devices called the Po ku (Hundred Antiques).
