Oil Boom deployment after sinking of F/V Igloo
These pictures were taken by the US Coast Guard Oil Response team during spill response to the sinking of the Fishing Vessel (F/V) Igloo in mid-May 2012. The boom was intended to prevent surface oils from reaching the Indian River estuary and impacting park resources. Deployment was only partially effective, due to the boom being too short to complete oil exclusion.
