Children play at the annual White House Easter Egg Roll. Over 600 people attended in 1898 and enjoyed egg hunts and rolls, music as well as educational arts, crafts and programs. This tradition began during the administration of Garfield's predecessor, Rutherford B Hayes and continues to this day.
