Bible (WHMI 8)

A small bible open to the title page. The pages are yellowed and there is a handwritten note takin up the bottom two thirds of the inside cover.

This bible originally belonged to Dr. Marcus Whitman and was given to his nephew, Perrin Whitman (1830-1899) during Perrin’s time at Waiilatpu. This bible was part of the Evans collection that the park purchased in 1957 and is one of the park’s earliest collections acquisitions.
