Memorial Marker--Revolutionary War Soldier Here lie the remains of a Revolutionary Soldier shot on a neighboring farm during the winter of 1777-1778. DESCRIPTION: Carved marble, 20" x 16" x 9". DONOR & DATE: Daughters of the American Revolution, pre-1902. HISTORICAL DATA: According to local tradition the soldier was shot by Devault Beaver when he caught him milking a cow on his farm. The farm was located N.E. of the Havard property (Knox Quarters) and Maxwell's Quarters, the John Brown Property.
