HISTORICAL DATA: The Marylanders were a part of Sullivan's and Smallwood's brigades. Most of the Maryland troops, however, were assigned to a location near Wilmington, Delaware for the encampment period, maintaining a Continental presence in Delaware. Some served in Patton's additional Continental Regiment.
