6 dark brown fish fossils on tan stones. The fish are strewn across the stone, some overlapping.
Knightia eocaena was a schooling freshwater herring. This specimen is from the sandwich beds where several mortality beds of adult fish are found. The fish are approximately 10 cm long. This fossil is in a private collection.
