Bridge near Buffalo Springs at the Platt Historic District
Antelope and Buffalo Springs - Platt Historic District, Chickasaw National Recreation Area. The Platt District exemplifies National Park recreational design during the era of public works in the 1930s, when many construction projects and park improvement initiatives were funded by New Deal programs. This "rustic" park design aimed to preserve the natural qualities of the landscape in new development, using hand craftsmanship, local architectural styles, and natural materials.
