Young trees grow to similar heights around the two-story motel structure. A walkway is surrounded by grass.
Bryce Canyon Lodge/Deluxe Cabins landscape, Bryce Canyon National Park. The Sunset Motel and Sunrise Motel were added to the site in 1985, replacing the old economy cabins. The design made an attempt to mimic the rustic architectural theme in a multi-story motel plan, but their scale and type makes them sufficiently out of place to be incompatible. Here, the land was deliberately cleared and later re-vegetated using plantings and seed mixtures. The result is an area of trees of near-uniform height and a regular spacing that is uncommon in nature.
