SUBJECT: Cleaning and Repointing of Indiana Monuments and Headstones

Cleaning and repointing of the 14th Indiana monument, a limestone base, shaft and cap with insignia and much wording was finished on June 10, 1985. It took 9 mandays at a cost of $12.30 per hr (total labor - $885.00, and materials - $35.00 - total cost $920.00; this does not include cost of truck or generator and spray machine).
Cleaning only of the Indiana State monument located at Spanglers Spring, a monument of Granite, was done in 4 ½ mandays at a cost of $442.80 for labor and $20.00 for materials (a total of $462.80 not including cost of truck generator or spray machine). We finished on June 15, 1985.
Cleaning of Indiana Granite headstones in the cemetery took 5 mandays at a cost of $492.00 for labor and $36.00 for materials (total cost was $528.00; this also did not include cost of truck and other equipment owned by the park.
