A 1' x 3" x 2' plain white marble marker indicating the place where Captain S. M. Neighbour was mortally wounded in the assault on Cheatham Hill. Located southwest of Cheatham Hill, the current marker replaced the 1914 original. || A replacement that is less than 50 years old, the marker is not eligible for the National Register but is managed as a cultural resource because of its commemorative purpose.
