Marks position twice held by 76 New York Infantry on July 1, 1863. Position marker on summit of Culp's Hill marks position July 2 & 3 1863. 1 of 90 Mns in Park to NY commands at Gettysburg. Located N extreme, E side Reynolds Ave at McPherson Ridge. || Mn, 2 flank markers & 1 position marker. Rough hewn base, 6'9"x6'9". smooth shaft w/ polished raised inscriptions & apex top w/ encircled number, all 14' high. Flank markers, slant tops, 1'x1'x1'6". Position marker polished inscription W face & top.
