The Kolb House is a 1-1/2-story, 3-bay, rectangular (46' x 32') log house with hewn logs and square notching, concrete chinking, stone pier foundations, and weatherboarded gable ends. Four rooms, a central hall, and four brick chimneys; interior materials are modern. Built in 1836, the Kolb House contributes to the park's national significance under National Register Criteria A and C as the only extant building dating to the battle period.
