Third oldest monument in park/cemetery. Erected to memory of Maj. Gen. John F. Reynolds. Position overlooks area where "he gave up his life." Located in National Cemetery near Baltimore Pike gates. || Mn 7'sq base, tapered shaft w/ 3 incised bands, incised inscriptions 4 sides, 2 excised inscriptions, high-polished stone shields front & back. Topped w/ bronze statue of Maj-Gen Reynolds. All 10'H. Made of CSA cannon captured by 1st Corps soldiers.
