Superintendent of the Gettysburg
National Military Park
Gettysburg, Pennsylvania
Dear Sir:
The Indiana Legislature created the Gettysburg Memorial Commission and charged it with the responsibility of selecting a site and erecting a suitable monument in honor of those soldiers of Indiana who gave their lives in the Battle of Gettysburg.
The Commission anticipates being present in the park on May 16 and 17 for the purpose of looking over prospective sites and a conference with you. We will expect to arrive at approximately 10:00 o’clock A.M. on Friday, May 16, 1969.
We trust that you can meet with us and confer about the site.
Very truly yours,
GETTYSBURG MEMORIAL COMMISSION

Thurman M. DeMoss,
