Respected friend
I Believe it will be out of my power to pay my note before I come out which I expect will be in the fifth mo. or first of the sixth mnt, when I was down I meant to call but I hurried away on account of my mothers being very sick at Farmington, it seems impossible to collect & as such have left the most of my notes for collection and have to disappoint some of my friends that I owe, I am pleased with my Exchange and situation think it will add to my wealth and property thy friend Thomas Pound”
