Navajo Sandstone is a geologic formation in the 'Glen Canyon Group' spread across the U.S. from Nevada, Arizona, Colorado and Utah. It frequently occurs as cliffs, cuestas, domes and bluffs rising from the desert floor. Distinguish it from adjacent sandstones by its white to light pink color, meter-scale cross-bedding and distinctive rounded weathering.
