Parker's Battery Marker
Commemorates defense of Federal bombardment May 3, 1863 during 2nd Battle of Fredericksburg. Parker's Battery sustained 2 attacks before falling to Union troops. This is the only marker to Virginia troops in the park. || Bronze plaque 1'6"Wx 2'6"Lx 1"D attached to gray granite base 3'Lx 2'W w/ height rising from 5.5" at front to 7.5" at rear. Granite dressed on face and rough-hewn on sides.
