This larval asian clam was detected in the Wahweap Laboratory during routine monitoring for dreissenid mussels. Asian clams existed in the Colorado River drainage before Lake Powell was constructed.

This asian clam larva was detected in the Wahweap Laboratory during routine monitoring for dreissenid mussels. Asian clams are not native to Lake Powell but were introducted to the Colorado River System many years ago.
