Commemorative monument erected to honor those who served & died during the Battle of Antietam on Sept 17, 1862. Dedicated to the 100th PA Vol Inf "Roundheads", 2nd Brg, 1st Div, 9th Army Corps.

Structure Number: 65 || 3 tier, smooth granite base to 4' h with 5' pedestal topped by life-size bronze statue of UA soldier at arms ready. 3 plaques installed on base: one at rear is seal of PA. Scabbard on proper L side is bent. Located on E side Branch Ave. || Built in 1904; sculpted by W. Clark Noble
