Dear Crawford,
I wish you would do me the favor to give an artist’s welcome to my friend Mr Miller of New York; shew him yr studio, & Orpheus. Nobody is more known and more highly appreciated in the best society of New York & Boston than Mr [p. 2] M., & I am anxious that you should be able to number him among yr friends & admirers.
