Rough hedgenettle (Stachys rigida var. quercetorum) - April 20, 2020
A single flower stem curved to the right with pink flower organized into seven spread out clusters. Each cluster is made up of six flowers whorled around the stem. Each flower is coming out of a hairy purple tube. The pink flowers have an upper petal and lower petal with purple spots. The top clusters are mostly closed buds. Most of the flowers in the lowest cluster have already fallen off, leaving behind their open purple tubes.
