Marks position held by 96th Pennsylvania from July 2 to July 5 1863. 1 of 110 mns in Park to Pennsylvania commands in Gettysburg Campaign. Located N side of Wheatfield Rd E of Althoff Farm Lane. || Mn & 2 flank markers. Triple course rough hewn base, 9'8"x3'7". Rough hewn shaft, 8'9"x2'8", topped w/ sculpture of prone infantryman. Smooth recessed inscription panels on all faces. State seal on W end. Flank markers, 1'x1'x2', left not marked.
