North Junction (Diamond Lake) Parking Lot, with Rim Drive Beyond
Several cars are parked near a curb in an overlook parking log, surrounded by open landscape and wide views.
Rim Drive Historic District. North Junction Parking Area became the second most popular stopping point for visitors along the Rim Drive after a rectangular lot was added. It is the first place that offers a view to Crater Lake for visitors entering from the park's north entrance. The lot was built in the 1980s as part of a project to reconstruct the North Entrance Road, and it does not contribute to the historic significance of the landscape. Wood fencing used above this area does not align with the masonry typical to most of the district.
