Lichens of Rock Creek: Understanding Fungal Biodiversity and helping DC residents find wonder and surprises in their landscapes
The author utilized graphics to illustrate broad patterns associated with lichen diversity and air quality. Photographs highlight different lichens found in Rock Creek Park, which included over 26 species.
This poster provides background information associated with existing lichens species found in Rock Creek Park and describes the methods used to develop an updated list of lichens for the park using a variety of field techniques. Preliminary results of the effort were provided by author. Note: poster was developed for the National Capital Region Spotlight 2022.
