1 of 25 mns in Park honoring MA units in Gettysburg Campaign. Marks position in the brigade line formed by Col. Tilton on July 2, 1863 just as Confederated attacked them from Rose Farm Buildings. Located at the Loop, S of Sickles Ave. || MN & 2 flank markers. Rough-hewn base, 4'5" sq, shaft 3' sq, 9'5" high. Shaft w/ fluted pilasters at corners. Polished inscription panels. Stepped-apex cap & Maltese cross finial. Flank markers, 1'6"x8"x2', gable top w/ inscription on face.
