A woman in a shallow boat gathers the water lilies that cover the surface of a pond.
Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens. Helen Fowler collects lilies from Pond 4 around 1929. Historic views of the landscape were experienced as an expanse of water broken into ponds by straight, grassy dikes. A natural landscape of marsh and woodland bordered the gardens, and the taller aquatic plants that lined the pond further divided the view.
