Construction of cattleguard and livestock fence to help enclose the Bullfrog Marina Developed Area (GLCA) in the fall of 2007
Because Lake Powell waterlevels reached extreme lows in 2004 and an existing 0.5 mile exclusion fence washed out in several places, livestock were entering the Bullfrog Marina Developed Area's park housing, campgrounds, and other facilities. Four objectives were defined for this winter 2007 park project: 1) Install 2.5 miles of livestock fence using purchased and contractor materials, 2) Install 3 wire and post gates to allow access to other park areas, 3) make several wildlife accomodations in the fence, and 4) install a highway grade cattleguard across HWY 276 accessing the marina area of GLCA.
