2013 Porcelain Wall rock fall
A dust cloud rising up the lower part of the Northwest Face of Half Dome in the evening light.
NPS Interpretive Ranger David Rose reported a rock fall from the Porcelain Wall. Rose was at Glacier Point when he heard rumbling lasting 35-40 seconds and felt the ground beneath his feet vibrate. As it was not yet completely dark, he was able to locate the source of the rock fall on the Porcelain wall below the "Diving Board". The rock fall and dust cloud were also observed and photographed by witnesses in the Mirror Lake area.
