Two women are being interviewed by a young reporter. Their tent has wreaths hanging from it, flower planters displayed in front of the St. Peter statue. Visitors crowd their displays, as a face-cutout of St. Peter is propped up. One woman's hat has a ferris wheel near a mountain (which is the crown of the hat). While the other hat has a band atop a dock, as the crown of the hat is water, and a yacht is on the brim.
The “Hat Ladies” make a new hat every year for the Saint Peter’s Fiesta, featuring local sights in miniature. For the Lowell Folk Festival, they even brought a life-size cut out of Saint Peter for visitors to pose with. Here, they are being interviewed by the local news, LTC (2012).
