A wooden gate over a dirt road is formed by two vertical logs on either side, spanned by a cross bar on top.
Fort Vancouver. The original Hudson's Bay Company (HBC) Village Entry Gate was built around the 1830s. This reconstruction dates to 2001. The gate is outside the stockade at the village site, at the junction of the main road connecting the fort stockade to the waterfront. It is constructed on two vertical logs topped with a third horizontal cross bar.
