Commemorates services of Brig. General James Wadsworth during Battle of Gettysburg. Placed on 1st Day Battlefield near center of line held by Wadsworth's Div. during opening engagment. Located E side of Reynolds Ave, close to Western Maryland RR cut. || Standing statue of uniformed, I Corp officer, Brig General James Wadsworth 9'. Statue mounted on cylindrical granite pedistal, 12'8" sq at base, 10'2" high. Bronze inscription drum forms center of pedistal, 4' in dia, 3' high.
