SEKI Roberts Collection Series: 3 Prints; 1 Small; 15 Stereographs
This is a stereoscopic view, but must be cut apart and transposed in order to get the effect, as you probably know. In order to blast the logs deep holes were bored along the top of the log. A charge of "Giant powder" was placed in th bottom then a charge of black powder next. The force of the giant powder was down while the blac tended to split the log open. This was a perfect shot but some of the pictures I took of the same operation the log did not split but slivered and wasted half the lumber or more. No 11
